Absolutely wonderful! Quiet, peaceful setting with beautiful views. Hiking trails range easy to difficult. Deer roam freely all throughout the area, even in the hotel courtyard. This is a great place to have an unplugged family adventure (great wifi in the hotel though) or a couples getaway. We will definitely go again. Packing an ice chest with drinks and snacks is a must, as the wonderful restaurant is open limited hours.

Enjoying ourselves so far. Friendly staff. Breakfast food is amazing. I hope catfish night is awesome. Beautiful landscape and pet friendly!

I attended a "German Festival" at the lodge. The German band was a no show. They did not have the right type of tap to open the German beer. The beer was Coors and Bud. So basically we paid 50 dollars to have one brat each. The German pretzels were mozzarella balls. Our request for a refund was denied.

Brutal. Three rooms, all dirty. The first one had some sort of insect all over the bed. Strike one. The second room had hair on the bed when we pulled the sheets back to inspect. Strike two. The manager met us at the second room to inspect and lead us to our third attempt. Strike three. The third bed also had hair on the bed. Dirty sheets again. F**king disgusting. Managament was very nice and remorseful when cancelling our stay, but I sense there is a much bigger problem here at the lodge. Maybe budget related, idk, but this falls under the hard pass category. $144 room and they can’t even change the goddamn sheets. I expect that at a $60 Econo Lodge in Albuquerque, but not here. Wildly disappointed. Better options in Altus, OK.

In addition the place was filthy. A gorgeous lodge with floor to ceiling windows that were dirty. Spiderwebs in the Sundance Cafe. A shower with hair stuck on the walls. (not mine) A bad experience at a lodge I would not recommend to anyone. Don't go there!

Very disappointing... arrived and was informed there was no hot water and would be working shortly. Three hours later when I asked when the hot water would be turned on they said not until the next morning. I asked for another room and was initially told no, after speaking with another employee we were able to move rooms. Upon entering the room, there was a spider in the sink and bathtub and the cable didnt work. We called it an early night. Not worth the trip or the money. The landscape was beautiful making our stay extra disappointing because we were basically indoor camping.
